(Діян 2:1-11)  Тими днями...  Коли ж почався день П'ятдесятниці, всі вони однодушно знаходилися вкупі.  І нагло зчинився шум із неба, ніби буря раптова зірвалася, і переповнила ввесь той дім, де сиділи вони.  І з'явилися їм язики поділені, немов би огненні, та й на кожному з них по одному осів. Усі ж вони сповнились Духом Святим, і почали говорити іншими мовами, як їм Дух промовляти давав.  Перебували ж в Єрусалимі юдеї, люди побожні, від усякого народу під небом.  А коли оцей гомін зчинився, зібралася безліч народу, та й диву далися, бо кожен із них тут почув, що вони розмовляли їхньою власною мовою!  Усі ж побентежилися та дивувалися, та й казали один до одного: Хіба ж не галілеяни всі ці, що говорять?  Як же кожен із нас чує свою власну мову, що ми в ній народились?  Парфяни та мідяни та еламіти, також мешканці Месопотамії, Юдеї та Каппадокії, Понту та Азії, і Фріґії та Памфілії, Єгипту й лівійських земель край Кірени, і захожі римляни, юдеї й нововірці, крітяни й араби, усі чуємо ми, що говорять вони про великі діла Божі мовами нашими!

(Алилуя ­ Голос 1)  Словом Господнім небеса утвердилися, і духом уст Його - вся сила їх.

Стих:  З неба споглянув Господь, і побачив усіх синів людських.

Євангелія

(Ів. 7:37-52, 8:12)  А останнього великого дня свята Ісус стояв і кликав, говорячи: Коли прагне хто з вас нехай прийде до Мене та й п'є!  Хто вірує в Мене, як каже Писання, то ріки живої води потечуть із утроби його.  Це ж сказав Він про Духа, що мали прийняти Його, хто ввірував у Нього.  Не було бо ще Духа на них, не був бо Ісус ще прославлений.  А багато з народу, почувши слова ті, казали: Він справді пророк!  Інші казали: Він Христос.  А ще інші казали: Хіба прийде Христос із Галілеї?  Чи ж не каже Писання, що Христос прийде з роду Давидового, і з села Віфлеєму, звідкіля був Давид?  Так повстала незгода в народі з-за Нього.  А декотрі з них мали замір схопити Його, та ніхто не поклав рук на Нього.  І вернулася служба до первосвящеників та фарисеїв, а ті їх запитали: Чому не привели ви Його?  Відказала та служба: Чоловік ще ніколи так не промовляв, як Оцей Чоловік.  А їм відповіли фарисеї: Чи й вас із дороги не зведено?  Хіба хто з старших або з фарисеїв увірував у Нього?  Та проклятий народ, що не знає Закону!  Говорить до них Никодим, що приходив до Нього вночі, і що був один із них: Хіба судить Закон наш людину, як перше її не вислухає, і не дізнається, що вона робить?  Йому відповіли та сказали вони: Чи й ти не з Галілеї?  Досліди та побач, що не прийде Пророк із Галілеї.  І знову Ісус промовляв до них, кажучи: Я Світло для світу.  Хто йде вслід за Мною, не буде ходити у темряві той, але матиме світло життя.

(Задостойник)  Величай, душе моя, Святого Духа, що від Отця походить.

(Acts. 2:1-11)  In those days…  When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.   And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.  And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in his own language.  And they were amazed and wondered, saying: Are not all these who are speaking Galileans?  And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language?  Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians, we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God!

Gospel

(Jn. 7:37-52, 8:12)  On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and proclaimed: If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.  He who believes in me, as the scripture has said: Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.  Now this he said about the Spirit, which those who believed in him were to receive; for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.  When they heard these words, some of the people said: This is really the prophet.  Others said: This is the Christ.  But some said: Is the Christ to come from Galilee?  Has not the scripture said that the Christ is descended from David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?  So there was a division among the people over him.  Some of them wanted to arrest him, but no one laid hands on him.  The officers then went back to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them: Why did you not bring him?  The officers answered: No man ever spoke like this man!  The Pharisees answered them: Are you led astray, you also?  Have any of the authorities or of the Pharisees believed in him?  But this crowd, who do not know the law, are accursed.  Nicodemus, who had gone to him before, and who was one of them, said to them: Does our law judge a man without first giving him a hearing and learning what he does?  They replied: Are you from Galilee too?  Search and you will see that no prophet is to rise from Galilee.  Again Jesus spoke to them, saying: I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

(Instead of "It is truly worthy")  Magnify, O my soul, the Holy Spirit Who proceeds from the Father.

Irmos, Tone 4:  Rejoice, Queen, Glory of Mothers and Virgins.  No mouth, however fluent and sweet of speech, is eloquent enough to worthily hymn You.  No mind is capable of understanding Your child-bearing.  Therefore, with one voice we magnify You.

Спільні джерела походження магії і астрології

(Продовҗення)  12 знаків зодіаку звичайно перелічують по напрямку із заходу на схід, починаючи з лінії весняного рівнодення (21 березня): Овен, Телець, Близнюки, Рак, Лев, Діва, Терези, Скорпіон, Стрілець, Козеріг, Водолій і Риби.  Незадовго до Різдва Христова кожний з „знаків“ у 30 градусів був розділений на три „декади“ по 10 градусів.  Це додавання внесли єгипетські астрологи.

У IV столітті до Р.Х. Персію було завойовано греками (македонянами), що перейняли астрологічні знання в халдейських жерців.  Особливим авторитетом користався вавілонський астролог Берос, що жив у III столітті до Р.Х.  Астрологія прекрасно відповідала пантеїстичному матеріалізму давньогрецьких стоїків.  12 знаків були розділені на чотири групи по три знаки кожна; ці групи співвіднесли з чотирма стихіями природи — вогнем, повітрям, землею і водою. Крім того, кожному знаку зодіаку були поставлені у відповідність визначені планети, кольори, рослини, метали і дорогоцінні камені.

Астрологія в тому виді, у якому вона існувала до II століття до Р.Х., описана в праці, що дійшла до нас, Клавдія Птолемея, астронома й астролога часів епігонів (спадкоємців Олександра Македонського).  Центром системи Птолемея є Земля, а Сонце, Місяць і планети рухаються навколо неї.  У середні століття астрологи мали значний вплив при дворах монархів європейських країн, Русі й арабського халіфату.  В епоху Відродження захоплення астрологією ще більш зросло і не спадало в часи Реформації.  Навіть Меланхтон, соратник Мартіна Лютера, віддав данину астрології. Потім, з початком епохи Просвітництва, почався занепад астрології, що відродилася лише наприкінці XIX в. у середовищі європейських окультистів.  У XX в. астрологія пережила дійсний розквіт разом із всілякими окультними і містичних плинами.  Основу сучасної астрології країн Заходу складає астрологія і, отже, багатобожжя древніх вавілонян, греків і римлян, хоча астрологи не вірять більше, що зірки і планети суть божества.

Крім астрології західного типу, в інших частинах світу виникли і розвилися свої астрологічні системи. Китайці склали свої астрологічні збірники ще до вавілонських жерців.  Індійська астрологія також іде коренями в глибоку давнину, тісно зв`язана з індуїзмом і продовжує відігравати важливу роль у житті індійського суспільства.

Астрологія — це одне з окультних навчань. Вона не є сектою, однак є секти, у доктрини яких астрологія входить складовою частиною, існують і секти, що склалися навколо астрологічних гуру і вчителів.
